Pink Floyd’s former accountant hosts “Erotica” party in House of Commons. Saucy.

For the first time in its illustrious existence, the House of Commons has hosted an erotica party. The event, known simply enough as “Erotica 2013” was put on by the owner of Erotica Ltd, Savas Christodoulou, who in the past worked as rock group Pink Floyd’s accountant, and also owns the reputable sounding Buddha Lounge nightclub in Romford.
Whilst things didn’t get all that steamy in the House of Commons (well, as far as we know), as only dinner was held there (the party later went on to a nearby boat, where guests “exchanged formal attire for latex or similar fancy dress”) it does all seem quite bizarre.
The dinner was sponsored by Romford MP Andrew Rosindell, who’s secretary told Sky News he was “doing it as we would do with any other Romford-based business.”
You know, I really hope I’m not the only one that didn’t snigger a little when I read how she’d worded that…
Anyhow, Rosindell doesn’t believe that he’s stepped out of line by sponsoring such a dinner, and, in a similar address to one that he had given to his wife moments earlier, he told reporters:
“It is a non-profit making dinner and I would have done the same for any local business, charity or organisation. I have never been to an Erotica event, I am not interested in that kind of thing. I am not endorsing anything. I was simply asked to sponsor a dinner.”
The final nail in the coffin of his gentlemanly demeanour, however, came when he finished his statement with: “I’m not even sure I will go.”
A House of Commons spokeswoman said she was not permitted to comment on individual bookings.
